The guarantee
If a restored photo does not look like the person you remember, we redo it for free. If it still does not, you get all your money back, even after downloading. Here is exactly how that works.
The promise
You paid to see your family again, not to receive a technically clean file. So the only test that counts is yours: does it look like them?
If the answer is no, press “Doesn't look like them — try again” under that photo. We restore it once more with extra attention to likeness, for free, as many times as you need, for 14 days after purchase.
If the answer is still no after that, press “Refund my pack”. You get the full amount back. It does not matter whether you already downloaded the master files, the print files, the share card or the video. Keep them.
How to use it
Both buttons live on your photos page, the one your link opens. There is no form, no support ticket and no phone call. You do not have to explain, although a sentence about what went wrong helps us get better.
“Doesn't look like them — try again” works per photo. A fresh version appears beside the old one and you pick which of the two goes into the print files. Up to three redos can run at the same time.
“Refund my pack” is one button for the whole pack. Press it once. You see a confirmation on the page, and a note by email when the money has left our side.
- Open your photos page from the link in your email
- Under a photo that reads wrong, press “Doesn't look like them — try again”
- Still wrong? Press “Refund my pack”, once
- Keep everything you already downloaded
- Want the files gone sooner? Press “Delete my photos now”
Timing
Free redos are open for 14 days from the moment you paid. That gives you time to share the photos with family and hear what they think; siblings and cousins often notice things you do not.
The refund request goes out the moment you press the button. The money travels back the way it came, to the card or account you paid with, and arrives within 3 to 10 working days depending on your bank. You do not need to send us anything.
What counts as doesn't look like them
You decide. We do not review the result against the original and rule on it. If the eyes are wrong, if the smile is not their smile, if the colour of a coat is a colour they never wore, if it simply feels off in a way you cannot name, that is enough.
Every restoration is an interpretation of a damaged original. Where the scan had lost a face, we made the most likely version of it. Sometimes that version is not the person. When that happens the guarantee is there so you lose nothing by having tried.
Your right of withdrawal
If you are in the European Union you have a legal right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Sellers of digital content often ask you to give that right up before they deliver. We do not. We never ask you to waive it, so it stays in place alongside our own guarantee.
In practice the two work the same way: press “Refund my pack”. You do not need to quote the law or send a formal notice, though you may if you prefer, at revive@autofract.com.
Limits
There is one: free redos close 14 days after purchase. That is the only limit. There is no cap on the number of redos inside those 14 days, no cap on refunds, no condition that you delete the files, and no check on whether you have downloaded them.
After the 14 days you can still write to us. We cannot promise a redo, but we read every message and we try.
Why we can offer this
Most people who press try again are happy with the second or third version. Almost nobody asks for a refund after that, and those who do usually have a photo that was too far gone to begin with. Giving the money back costs us far less than making you argue for it.
The guarantee also keeps us honest about what we promise elsewhere on this site. If a claim on the front page would not survive the refund button, it does not belong on the front page.
